Understand a survey's complete details, including index results, engagement metrics, item insights and customizable question-level results with action planning options.
The Questions tab provides the full details of all indexes and custom questions included on the survey. Each index appears as a separate subtab at the top of the page, along with an Additional Questions subtab for any custom questions. Click a subtab to view the results of an index and the questions it includes.

Questions tab
The top of an index subtab displays a summary of the results for that index, including mean, trended mean (if available), mean change from the previous survey (if available), mean percentile rank and total respondents. You can also position your mouse pointer over the mean value to view the quartile and 90ᵗʰ percentile values in the comparison database.
Note: Unless modified for the survey, the comparison database is the Gallup Overall database.

Employee engagement data
When viewing results for the Q¹² Mean index (i.e., Gallup's Q¹² items), the top of the subtab also displays the following employee engagement data:
Highest Q¹² Items
The two items with the highest mean percentile rank in the comparison database across the entire engagement hierarchy. Use them to focus on what the team is doing well.
Lowest Q¹² Items
The two items with the lowest mean percentile rank in the comparison database, focusing mainly on the lower half of the engagement hierarchy (Q01-Q06). Use them to focus on where the team may have opportunities for improvement.
Engaged
The percentage of respondents who are highly involved in and enthusiastic about their work and workplace. They are psychological “owners,” drive performance and innovation, and move the organization forward.
Not Engaged
The percentage of respondents who are psychologically unattached to their work and company. Because their engagement needs are not being fully met, they're putting time — but not energy or passion — into their work.
Actively Disengaged
The percentage of respondents who aren't just unhappy at work — they are resentful that their needs aren't being met and are acting out their unhappiness. Every day, these workers potentially undermine what their engaged coworkers accomplish.
Engagement Ratio
The number of engaged respondents to actively disengaged respondents, so you can quickly gauge the team's engagement status.
Note: Percent engaged data require at least 30 responses, while percent not engaged and percent actively disengaged data require at least 100 responses.
When viewing results for the Q¹² Mean index (i.e., Gallup's Q¹² items), the Results Summary area indicates the current mean and the mean percentile rank in the comparison database for each Q¹² item. Click an item's View Details link to view its detailed results on the report.

Results Summary area
This area also indicates the survey's two highest and lowest ranking items based on their mean percentile rank and Gallup Engagement Hierarchy position. Use these items as a guide for focusing on what the team is doing well and where it may have opportunities for improvement.
The remainder of the Questions tab displays detailed results for each of the questions that comprise the index. You can choose which data appear here by clicking Customize Metrics above the first question on the right side of the page.

Detailed Results area

| The value is within the 50ᵗʰ to 74ᵗʰ percentile. | |
| The value is within the 25ᵗʰ to 49ᵗʰ percentile. | |
| The value is less than the 25ᵗʰ percentile. | |

Create Action Plan

For Gallup's Q¹² items, you can view them in the order they appear on the survey or grouped by Gallup Engagement Hierarchy level. The Gallup Engagement Hierarchy represents the stages an employee goes through on the path to complete engagement and allows you to easily see where a team's strengths and weaknesses lie as related to employee engagement. To view hierarchy data, select Engagement Hierarchy at the top of the Detailed Results area.

Gallup Engagement Hierarchy
Each hierarchy level displays its mean, mean change from the previous survey (if available), total respondents, mean percentile rank and the Q¹² items that comprise the level.
