Viewing a Survey Report

Navigate reporting tabs, and filter data by team and reporting group.

A survey report provides detailed information about a team's survey data, so you can conduct an in-depth review of their results. Each report consists of the following tabs to visualize and analyze a team's survey results:

  • Overview
  • Questions
  • Heatmap
  • Text Analytics

Note: The availability of the tabs and other report features depend on the survey and your level of access.

The tabs of the survey report display data for the selected team and reporting group. Use the Teams and Reporting Group options at the top of the page to view a specific team's or reporting group's data, respectively. For example, if your survey data includes multiple reporting groups that correspond to your organization's multiple locations, you can view a specific location's data by selecting its reporting group.

Use the Teams drop-down list to select a team's data to view. Selecting a team displays the organizational breadcrumb, with the selected team appearing furthest to the right. Teams above the selected team in the organizational hierarchy (i.e., teams to which the selected team rolls up to) appear to its left.

Note: To conserve space, Gallup Access may display an ellipsis (…) in place of some teams. Click it to display the full breadcrumb of teams.

Click a team in the breadcrumb to view its data, or click a team's drop-down arrow (if available) to select from the teams that roll up to it. Direct and Rollup buttons appear when you select a team, allowing you to view direct or rollup data for the selected team.

Note: You can only select and view the data of teams you have access to.

If you want to search for a specific team in your organization, click the search button (Image of the search button.) to display the Search Teams window. Use the Search field to locate the team (minimum three characters), select it from the list of results, and then click Apply

If you have access to bivariable reporting, two reporting group drop-down lists appear at the top of the page: Reporting Group 1 and Reporting Group 2. While you can use Reporting Group 1 just as you would with a single Reporting Group drop-down list, you can also select a second reporting group from Reporting Group 2 to combine data. For example, if your survey includes reporting groups for your organization's locations and departments, you can view the combined data for a specific department at a specific location.

Note: Your access to bivariable reporting groups depends on your role, permissions and configuration by your administrator.
